Hailey Bieber is opening up about the wild ride of motherhood since welcoming her son, Jack Blues Bieber, with husband Justin Bieber in August 2024. In a candid interview with Vogue for their Summer 2025 issue, the 28-year-old model and Rhode Beauty founder shared how becoming a mom has transformed her “head to toe” and how she grappled with the pressure to “bounce back” to her pre-pregnancy self. Here’s a peek into Hailey’s raw and relatable postpartum journey.

Hailey didn’t sugarcoat the challenges of adjusting to her new body after giving birth to Jack. “Every day I have to talk to myself, like, ‘Hailey, you had a baby. You grew a human. You birthed a human. It’s okay. Give yourself grace. Give yourself time,’” she told Vogue. She admitted to struggling with the last 15 pounds of pregnancy weight and initially obsessing over getting back to her old figure.

“I kept really hyper-fixating on getting back to what I was,” she said, but eventually realized her body wouldn’t be the same. “My hips are wider, my boobs are actually bigger than they were before. They did not go back. And great, I’ll take it, but it’s not the same body that it was before. You’re not the same person that you were before. You change head to toe.”

This shift in perspective wasn’t easy. Hailey spoke about experiencing postpartum dysphoria, especially after reading negative comments online about her body. But she’s come to a place of acceptance, focusing on moving forward rather than chasing an old version of herself. “I like who I am so much more than I ever have,” she shared. “There’s an ease that comes with [being a mother], a confidence. You really start to give less of a f--- about so many things.”

Her 18-hour labor was no walk in the park either. Hailey told Vogue it was “the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” despite preparing with breathing exercises, acupuncture, yoga, pelvic-floor therapy, and weight training. Induced at 39 weeks with Pitocin and a Foley balloon to speed things along, she faced a grueling delivery that ended in a postpartum hemorrhage, which she described as a “scary” ordeal. Still, she’s embraced motherhood as her “biggest teacher,” saying, “He’s my priority. He is the most important thing to me.”

Hailey’s also been intentional about avoiding big changes during this sensitive time. In April 2025, she commented on a TikTok by new mom Melody Miles, who was tempted to chop her hair off postpartum. “You would look stunning, but let’s hold hands and agree to not make any big hair decisions postpartum! Personally giving myself at least a year!” Hailey wrote (via Hindustan Times), citing the hormonal shifts that can mess with hair texture and growth.

Since Jack’s arrival, Hailey and Justin have shared sweet glimpses of their new family life, like a March 2025 Instagram post of Hailey cradling Jack under a tree or a Halloween snap of his tiny feet with an “I Voted” sticker. They’ve kept his face private but haven’t shied away from showing their joy, with Hailey calling motherhood “the wildest, coolest thing I’ve ever done.” On Mother’s Day 2025, she posted a carousel of photos, including Jack’s tiny toes and throwback pregnancy shots, captioning it, “i love being your mommy Jack Blues.”

Hailey’s also juggling her career, celebrating Rhode Beauty’s new murumuru butter launch in October 2024, where she rocked an oversized suit and later shared a mirror selfie showing her postpartum stomach. She’s stayed active with Pilates, which she loves for its dance-like movements, helping her rebuild core strength alongside pal Kendall Jenner.

As Hailey navigates this new chapter, she’s clearly prioritizing balance and self-acceptance. Her story’s resonating with fans, who are flooding X with support for her honesty about the messy, beautiful reality of postpartum life. With Jack as her focus and a newfound confidence, Hailey’s proving you don’t need to “bounce back” to move forward.
